Grazr on iPhone

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

It took a little longer than I’d hoped, but Grazr widget code now runs really smoothly on the iPhone! Part of the delay was trying to figure out how to integrate the new widget behaviors with the site in a way that made sense.
When you go to the grazr iPhone site, you will see […]

Bookmarklet Filter

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

Marjolein has once again put together a really nifty tool she’s calling “OnePipe” . Using Yahoo Pipes, Grazr, and a little bookmarklet magic, she’s created a way to click one button to auto-discover content feeds, filter on specific keyword, and then immediately display the results in Grazr.
You can use it two ways. First you […]

Twitter on Grazr

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

James has a nice little application of using Grazr with Twitter to display the Twitter accounts of people attending the Irish blog Awards. Neat. The names he came up with, Twazr and Grittir make me wince a bit though. He added another possibility in the comments, could it be a twiizer?

Naked Conversation Search

Monday, January 29th, 2007

One of our capabilities that hasn’t gotten much attention is GrazrScript. Our goal with GrazrScript is to enable our users to easily build really quick information displays based on any web service. Basically the idea would be to let users create their own widgets that take inputs and display weather, web searches, job searches […]

Grazr and Bloglines

Friday, November 17th, 2006

I’ve read numerous posts where people lament the fact they can’t keep their Bloglines subscriptions and their published Grazrs in sync. This is a common misconception because of the way most aggregators treat “Importing and Exporting” of feed lists. Turns out you can keep them in sync, it’s just not obvious from the Bloglines interface […]

This time it’s youTube

Monday, August 28th, 2006

Tom has put together another OPML representation of a popular service. His latest creation is OPML extracted from youTube and viewed in Grazr.
Sometimes people ask me, “what’s there to be excited about an outline format“? Tom gets it.

Another Detour

Monday, February 27th, 2006

I was hoping to have more of a user experience ready by the end of next week but I’ve turned temporarily down a minor detour. Adam thought of a different kind of implementation that could be extremely useful and I’m spending some cycles on that. While it’s going to take time away from the bigger […]

Tech Demo 1.5

Tuesday, February 21st, 2006

Well after much work, the new version of the technology demo didn’t quite make it to the level I’d hoped by Sunday. Most of the time was spent fighting an internal Grazr XML parsing bug, a nasty IE bug with dynamic image loading, polishing the interface, and doing some unit testing/data canning to make sure […]
